Q: How did your journey start at YPS?
A: I joined the business in 2020. My aim was to design the data department, its team and its infrastructure.
Q: What is a day in the life of the Head of Data at YPS like?
A: Now, 2½ years later, I have the privilege to manage a team of three brilliant data analysts. Code, numbers, graphs, challenges, frustration, brainstorming and creativity, are things we encounter daily in the team. That’s why our job is so exciting. As a manager, my time has been split between management and hands-on work.
Q: Head of Data, what is the most rewarding thing about your role?
A: Designing and creating applications, analysis and algorithms from scratch and seeing them applied in real-life. Moving theoretical work to real-life applications is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things in our profession.
Q: How would you define 2022 at YPS in three words?
A: Innovation, Disruption, Growth
Q: What’s the mission of the Data team for this new year?
A: The mission is to create the scientific base on which YourParkingSpace will become the tech leader, not only in the parking industry but in general urban mobility in the UK and beyond.
Q: How do you see YourParkingSpace’s future?
A: YourParkingSpace has all the potential to become one of the market leaders globally in urban mobility.
